Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>RESIDENTS in Mpanda municipality in Katavi region have hailed President Samia Suluhu Hassan for allocating more than 3bn\/- for building schools, classrooms for secondary schools and public health facility.<\/p>\n

The recently \u2013issued fund to municipality was part of COVID- 19 relief package from the International Monitary Fund (IMF).<\/p>\n

They appealed to Regional Commissioner (RC) Ms Mwanamvua Mrindoko to send their appreciation to President Samia for her noble gesture that will see no any of their sons and daughters who have reached age of going to school be left aside during the next academic year.<\/p>\n

“The initiative will definitely bring the education facilities and health services closer to us hence ease the burden on our children walking long distance daily to and from school,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Also the citizens, mostly pregnant mothers and children, will access health services closer to their precincts” explained Ms Mwajuma Wilbroad, a resident of the municipality.<\/p>\n

The thrilled citizens aired their appreciations to President Samia during a public rally addressed by the RC here yesterday.<\/p>\n

The RC assured them that she would convey their appreciations to the President with immediate effect.<\/p>\n

Equally, the RC ordered speedy implementation of the projects and warned against substandard construction work.<\/p>\n

“The fund has already been disbursed, what I want to witness is the speedy construction of the projects and must reflect the value for money spent on them because the President wants to see all children learn at friendly environment and that no any child with the age of going to school is left out,” explained the RC.<\/p>\n

The implementation of the construction of classrooms has been scheduled to complete mid-December, this year.<\/p>\n
