Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>The government has announced that standard seven pupils who failed to attain required passing marks to join secondary education will now have a second chance to re-seat for the national examinations.<\/p>\n

Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Professor Joyce Ndalichako said that the ministry has decided to remove the barrier to standard seven pupils by giving them second chance and those who will pass the exams will be enrolled in the public schools.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe government has decided to remove barriers in the education sector, including allowing pregnant girls to continue with formal studies after delivering,\u201d said Prof Ndalichako during the handover of a primary school constructed under Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni’s sponsorship government.<\/p>\n

Professor Ndalichako hailed Uganda\u2019s President Yoweri Museveni for his decision to sponsor the construction of the primary school in Chato District, Geita and added that the facility will provide more educational opportunities to Tanzanian children.<\/p>\n

In honoring the leader, Minister Ndalichako said the facility has been named after Yoweri Museveni and turned to him saying: “Thank you President Museveni for your love for Tanzanian children,\u201d<\/p>\n

According to the Minister, Museveni Primary School is a day facility which is capable to accomodate 630 pupils.She added that the school will officially start receiving students in January, 2022.<\/p>\n
