The firm expects to receive new printers mid next month.

During his tour of the Company in Dar es Salaam on Monday, Dr Yonazi challenged the management to find more market within and outside the country since the company will have more capacity to print various publications, including brochures, burners, textbooks, books, fliers and so on.

During his visit, Dr Yonazi visited TSN’s offices where he inspected the printing plant.

“As TSN you are doing a good job and I am happy with you. Your current machine can print different items at a good speed, you have to advertise yourself so that the general public and other stakeholders can get informed about your good services.

“You have to market yourselves even abroad so that our neighbours can understand that Tanzania through TSN can publish various and quality products,” Dr Yonazi, the former TSN Managing Editor, stressed.

He advised TSN to diversify its activities, including transforming itself from reporting news to writing researches, innovative and analytical stories that can serve as sources of information.

“Our government newspapers must serve as a source of information. This can happen by publishing well researched stories instead of just telling what has happened, leaving readers with no answers to questions. The new machines will be installed at Upanga area in Dar es Salaam.

“The supplier has told us that the machines will arrive mid next month,” said Ms Abdallah.

She said after installation they will be able to print various items including banners, notebooks, books, brochures and various publications.

On his part, Head of Printing Press, Eng David Selestine said the current machine has the capacity of printing 80 books per minute with A4 size.

For More News And Analysis About Tanzania Follow Africa-Press

Africa-Press – Tanzania.
