Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>IN a unique development in the poultry industry in East and Central Africa, Jubilee Insurance, TanManagement Insurance Brokers and AgriPoa have come together to utilise artificial intelligence for Poultry Insurance covers in Tanzania.<\/p>\n

Making the revelation during the signing ceremony in Dar es Salaam recently, AgriPoa Founder, Mr Placidius Rwechungura, said the use of artificial intelligence across various industries worldwide has shown positive growth and results that continue to encourage its use also in related fields and firms.<\/p>\n

He further said, \u201cIn this partnership, artificial intelligence will be used to identify diseases related to poultry and livestock so that claims are processed at the most efficient level possible.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe partnership will also go a step ahead to give users of the AgriPoa ready insurance covers for their poultry and livestock and teach farmers how to mitigate high-risk livestock diseases.<\/p>\n

\u201cAgriPoa helps farmers to record daily farm activities and uses the same data for analytics to advise the farmer on the best practices. Thanks to artificial intelligence which simplifies all these activities.<\/p>\n

Our artificial intelligence models can significantly improve the claims management process in terms of speed and accuracy by helping farmers and an Insurer to take better and faster decisions.\u201d<\/p>\n

On his part, Mr Mohammed Jaffer, Group CEO of TanManagement Insurance Brokers commented, \u201cThe use of artificial intelligence in the Insurance Industry has been long-coming and this partnership brings it to the market through a livestock and poultry product to start with and will only grow from these first products.<\/p>\n

Commenting, Jubilee Insurance Chief Execute Officer, Dipankar Achariya, the underwriter for the unique product, said: \u201cThe uptake of livestock and poultry insurance products to pastoral farmers will be increased. This will help farmers to register themselves for insurance service and also will simplify the risk assessment process and loss estimation during claims.\u201d<\/p>\n
