Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>MTIBWA Sugar have parted ways with their Head Coach Joseph Omog despite securing his first win this weekend against Biashara Mara United FC, with Salum Mayanga replacing him.<\/p>\n

This was confirmed yesterday by the club’s Information Officer Thobias Kifaru that the coach will start coaching soon after his arrival in the club.<\/p>\n

Kifaru added that he believes Mtibwa will return to its best form, as they have several games ahead of them. Despite parting ways Kifaru noted that the club wishes Omog the best of lucks and he will return to Cameroon this soon.<\/p>\n

Last Sunday, Mtibwa Sugar got their first win after defeating Biashara United 2-0 in the Premier League game at Manungu Complex in Morogoro after losing five games and drawing two, thus collecting five points in eight-game outings.<\/p>\n

Mtibwa scored their goals through Styve Nzigamasabo in the 13th minute and Said Ndem\u00adla in the 73rd minute.<\/p>\n

As a result, Mtibwa have moved from the bottom and now sit fifteenth with similar points with Geita Gold FC, but they are superior in goal differ\u00adence.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, former Azam coach George Lwandamina resigned this Monday through a letter to Azam FC Board whereas apart from resigning, he issued his appreciation to be offered the opportunity to coach Azam.<\/p>\n

He noted: It is for the best interest of Azam Football Club that, I George Lwandambina, hereby relinquish all rights, responsibilities and privileges as the head coach of Azam Football Club, effective immediately.<\/p>\n

It has been an honour to be given the opportunity to be part of this ambitious club, and now I think my time is over.<\/p>\n

It is a difficult decision to take and I appreciate the cooperation and understanding of the board in this matter<\/p>\n

I hope the club can continue to grow. Azam FC will always hold a special place in my heart.<\/p>\n

Azam FC have not been at their best form this season as they are placed seventh with eleven points in eight outings. They have won three, drawn twice and lost three.<\/p>\n

Lwandambina’s last encounter was against Kagera Sugar, and the game was completed with a barren draw at Azam Complex in Chamanzi, Dar es Salaam.<\/p>\n
