Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>YOUNG Africans Head Coach Nasred- dine Nabi said his charges have reached 60 per- cent of the performance he wants as his target is to make them achieve the 100 percent when the NBC Premier League resumes.<\/p>\n

His sentiments came after guiding his team to a comfortable 4-0 win against Dodoma Jiji on New Year Eve at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam to hit 29 points at the helm of the table.<\/p>\n

Fiston Mayele, Jesus Moloko, Khalid Aucho and an own goal by Justin Bilary were enough to present a timely New Year gift to their supporters across the country as they continue to float at the top of the pyramid.<\/p>\n

At a post-match briefing, ju- bilant Nabi reiterated that they have just reached 60 percent of the total performance he is look- ing for at the club while insisting that the job is still far from over.<\/p>\n

\u201cUntil this juncture, we have accomplished 60 percent of our target and when the league resumes, we will continue to work hard in order to fulfill our objectives,\u201d said the Tunisian coach whose squad is yet to taste de- feat of the campaign.<\/p>\n

Clarifying on how they were able to score such a big goal margin, Nabi narrated that their opponents played an open game which gave them an opportunity to penetrate in the empty gaps they made.<\/p>\n

\u201cTheir coach at a pre-match briefing said they will approach the game defensively that is why I instructed my players to play our usual passing game to make them tired and thereafter score goals,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He again pointed out that the sweet victory was a perfect welcome to their new player Salum Abubakar \u2018Sure Boy\u2019 who was introduced midway into the second half to make his debut for the Jangwani Street giants.<\/p>\n

Another play who made his debut on the day for Yanga was goalkeeper Aboutwalib Mshery who excelled to stamp a clean sheet on his first day at the office.<\/p>\n

On his part, Dodoma Jiji coach Mbwana Makata conceded the defeat saying they were not good at the midfield zone saying the mistakes they made were utilized well by their opponents.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the second half, we lost concentration especially by our full-backs thereby enabling them to score two goals from crosses. All in all, Yanga was a better side and deserved the big victory,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Makata described his new striker Waziri Junior as potential who will help them when he fully settles at the club that is why he deployed him in the second half to try to cope with his colleagues.<\/p>\n
