Africa-Press – Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>AFTER re-uniting with his former club, Simba, midfield maestro Clatous Chama could be making his season’s debut today when Msimbazi Street Reds face Mbeya City in a tricky away fixture at Sokoine Stadium.<\/p>\n

This will be Simba’s eleventh match of the campaign as they fight hard to bridge the point-gap with the league toppers Young Africans as such; searching for crucial three points is their top agenda in their today’s outing.<\/p>\n

In their ten games, Simba are unscratched after winning seven matches and stamping draws in three matches, a feat that earned them 24 points.<\/p>\n

This however doesn\u2019t make them out of their mission to defend the Premier League title for the fifth time in a row.<\/p>\n

Coming fresh from their 2022 Mapinduzi Cup victory, the Msimbazi street lads are aware that going out of the Sokoine Stadium with maximum points is not such easy hence they need to fight hard throughout the normal period of play.<\/p>\n

Their last league assignment before heading to Zanzibar for Mapinduzi Cup tournament was a 2-1 win over Azam in a match dubbed ‘Mzizima Derby’ on January 1st this year at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam.<\/p>\n

Under their Spanish trainer, Pablo Franco, Simba continue to mature and his DNA seems to be working now as he is yet to lose a league match and he is among the most respectable coaches at the moment.<\/p>\n

For the hosts, they are much aware how difficult the game will be knowing that they are entertaining defending champions whose squad is decorated with valuable and experienced players.<\/p>\n

The Green City boys, in their eleven games, have produced 16 points garnered from three wins and seven draws and have already suffered one defeat.<\/p>\n

Their coach Mathias Lulle will also be eager to maintain his team\u2019s perfect home record as they are yet to taste defeat at their backyard from where they have been solid in most of their league clashes.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, at Ushirika Stadium in Moshi, hosts Polisi Tanzania welcome Namungo in another breath-taking Monday fixture as the splint towards the finishing line escalates.<\/p>\n

Only three points separate the two teams as Polisi Tanzania enjoy 17 points from eleven games whereas Namungo have bagged 13 points in their eleven-game outings.<\/p>\n
