{"id":46151,"date":"2022-01-26T17:33:34","date_gmt":"2022-01-26T17:33:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/?p=46151"},"modified":"2022-01-26T14:56:46","modified_gmt":"2022-01-26T14:56:46","slug":"tarura-in-kibaha-to-spend-1-5bn-for-road-projects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/tanzania\/all-news\/tarura-in-kibaha-to-spend-1-5bn-for-road-projects","title":{"rendered":"TARURA in Kibaha to spend 1.5bn\/- for road projects"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Tanzania. <\/strong><\/span>WARD Councilors in Kibaha Town Council have started working with officials from Tanzania Rural and Urban Roads Agency(TARURA) to come up and implementing road projects which suit priorities of the communities in the area.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking during a special meeting between the Councilors and Engineers from TARURA at the Council&#8217;s premises this week, District Executive Director (DED) Eng Mshamu Munde said that there were complaints from Ward Councilors that the later was implementing projects without consulting them, which resulted into failure to reach the desired outcomes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have reached a decision to start having meetings of these kinds, whereby TARURA will be presenting their projects proposals for each year to the councilors for approval before they start implementing them in order to avoid misunderstandings and negative outcomes,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>For his part, Council&#8217;s Chairman Mr Musa Ndomba said that the approach was expected to bring about good results in execution of road projects in the council since TARURA officials and the councilors will be working hand in hand to make sure that the projects are implemented as intended.<\/p>\n<p>He said, &#8220;The council is now assured that from now on road projects which will be implemented first are those which will suit priorities of individuals in our council and by doing so we will end these complaints&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Mbwawa Ward Councilor Ms Judith Mluge congratulated TARURA officials for being ready to work with the councilors in making sure that roads in the area are being improved.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a very important step for us to meet and review together what to be implemented for the coming year. Before, TARURA used to come to our areas and start implementing projects without consulting us which caused a lot of problems to the Councilors and to our people as well&#8221;, she explained.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, TARURA&#8217;s Manager for Kibaha District Eng.
