AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> NAMUNGO FC striker Reliant Lusajo said his target this season is to score more than 20 goals to surpass 19 goals he netted while playing in the First Division League (FDL).<\/p>\n

Lusajo, who is among the feared strikers in this league season, has since scored 11 goals for his side, similar to Kagera Sugar\u2019s Yusuph Mhilu and the two are 8 goals short to reach the current top goal scorer Meddie Kagere who has 19 goals to his name.<\/p>\n

However, speaking recently, Lusajo revealed that he already planned to net more than 20 goals in the top flight league this season.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cUntil now, I have played in almost 17 matches and scored 11 goals but I still believe that I can do better in our remaining games to fulfill my target. I want to break my own record of scoring 19 goals in the FDL,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On his successes, Lusajo said hardworking and determination is the two things he strongly observed to reach his intended target in football.<\/p>\n

Commenting on Mhilu, Lusajo said he is a good player who always helps his team to win games hence scoring 11 goals, there is no doubt about his potential at his current club.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt the moment, I just want to continue helping my team to maintain its perfect form in the league standings,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Elaborating to point out on the claims that Young Africans are hunting for his services next season, Lusajo replied that he has been hearing such rumours via different platforms but said for now, he remains loyal to his Namungo side.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have not been called by anybody regarding that issue but perhaps my manager is aware of it. My contract is nearing completion as such, Namungo will be given first priority when it comes to either renewing it or not. I can play for any team not only Yanga provided we reach mutual agreement,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

On his part, Kagera Sugar hit-man Mhilu said as long as he gets playing time, he is capable to score goals and can even leapfrog Kagere.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo have a chance to play, you need to work hard to convince the coach and that is exactly what I am doing,\u201d he narrated.<\/p>\n

He also described Lusajo as a competitive player who works hard while revealing that his ambition is to celebrate after winning the championship one day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
