AfricaPress-Tanzania:<\/strong> COASTAL Union admitted to have received offers from Simba SC and Young Africans seeking the signature of their centre back, Bakari Mwamnyeto.<\/p>\n

The defender has managed to attract attention from the Dar es Salaam giants due to his impressive performance he has displayed this season.<\/p>\n

But, elaborating on the development over the weekend, Coastal Union’s Information Officer, Hafidh Kido insisted that a team which will meet his selling price will seal the deal.<\/p>\n

“For us, we now want to make transformation in the players\u2019 signing procedures since we have previously lost many players via unprofitable deals that\u2019s why this time around, we want a win-win situation. “We have put forward the amount we want for him to leave the club of which we cannot publicly disclose and we have also let his manager handle all the processes required in his possible transfer,” he said.<\/p>\n

He added that it was Simba who came first knocking at the door searching for Mwamnyeto`s signature but the two parties could not reach mutual agreement.<\/p>\n

“After Simba, Yanga followed but also failed to win the deal at their first trial. They (Yanga) have now come again such that the existing offer we have for our player is from them. “If you see these big teams fighting for a player, it means Mwamnyeto is a good player as such, he deserve a lucrative deal as well to match with his quality,” Kido said.<\/p>\n

He then queried as to why it becomes easy for Tanzania clubs to pay a lot of cash to sign a foreign based player but when it comes to hire the services of a domestic player, they refrain from paying attractive money to get him.<\/p>\n

“We want to add value to our players such that buying them for more than 100m\/-should be a common thing and not unusual as it is currently the case,” he said.<\/p>\n

He continued: “By doing that does not mean that we do not wish him well but rather we want to be an exemplary club to others of valuing our respective players and not to just let them go at any offered price.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
