Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>L’Association pour la d\u00e9fense des droits des consommateurs (ADC) a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 le rapport sur l’indice d’interf\u00e9rence de l’industrie du tabac au Tchad, ce 30 d\u00e9cembre 2021 au CEFOD, en pr\u00e9sence de certaines associations de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des patrons de m\u00e9dias.<\/p>\n

En pr\u00e9sentant le rapport, le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral de l’ADC, Alhadj Douda Adam souligne que \u00ab la lutte anti-tabac n’est pas facile. Le tabac est un produit qui tue, pourrit et appauvrit.<\/p>\n

Mais c’est un secteur o\u00f9 l’ing\u00e9rence de son industrie est vraiment pr\u00e9sente et p\u00e8se sur la mise en \u0153uvre des engagements anti-tabac’ \u00bb, a-t-il ajout\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Pour lui, l’ADC est engag\u00e9e dans la sensibilisation des m\u00e9faits de la consommation du tabac et \u0153uvre pour faire des actions de plaidoyer, en vue de l’adoption des lois et textes d’application. Mais le vrai travail reste le suivi de la mise en \u0153uvre des tous ces encadrements juridiques.<\/p>\n

Selon Alhadj Douda Adam, \u00ab l\u2019indice d’interf\u00e9rence de l’industrie du tabac permet d\u2019appr\u00e9hender le niveau d’ing\u00e9rence de l’industrie du tabac sur la politique publique de lutte contre le tabagisme au Tchad \u00bb, a-t-il conclu.<\/p>\n

Il faut aussi retenir qu’au Tchad, il existe un fabricant de produits du tabac, la Manufacture des cigarettes du Tchad (MCT) qui est une filiale du groupe Imp\u00e9rial Tabacco.<\/p>\n

Elle produit des marques telles que Fine, News et PS. L’usine de la MCT est situ\u00e9e \u00e0 Moundou et a produit 33,658 millions de paquets de cigarettes en 2019.<\/p>\n

Le prix moyen au point de vente d’une marque produite localement est de 650 FCFA, tandis que les cigarettes import\u00e9es comme Marlboro co\u00fbtent 1000 FCFA.<\/p>\n
