Africa-Press<\/a> – Tchad<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>L’association de lutte contre la dr\u00e9panocytose \u00ab\u00a0\u00c9lan de l’espoir\u00a0\u00bb a form\u00e9 du 27 au 31 d\u00e9cembre 2020, des jeunes dr\u00e9panocytaires (pairs \u00e9ducateurs) \u00e0 N’Djamena. L’objectif est de mieux communiquer \u00e0 travers les pairs \u00e9ducateurs pour briser les pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s sur la maladie mais aussi les aider \u00e0 s’accepter avec la maladie.<\/div>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les gens ne connaissent pas la dr\u00e9panocytose. On dit que la dr\u00e9panocytose c’est la sorcellerie, les esprits. C’est tout une panoplie de pr\u00e9jug\u00e9s qui sont autour de cette maladie. Et avec ces ambassadeurs, je pense qu’on va mieux connaitre la dr\u00e9panocytose\u00a0\u00bb, explique Saboura Dounia, pr\u00e9sidente de l’association \u00ab\u00a0\u00c9lan de l’espoir\u00a0\u00bb.<\/div>\n

La formation s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet de la sant\u00e9 sexuelle et reproductive des filles et des femmes dr\u00e9panocytaires, financ\u00e9 par le Fonds des Nations Unies pour la population (UNFPA). \u00ab\u00a0L’UNFPA nous soutient depuis un bon moment sur ce projet de la m\u00e8re et de l’enfant\u00a0\u00bb, se f\u00e9licite la pr\u00e9sidente de l’association.<\/div>\n

\u00a0Selon Saboura Dounia, \u00ab\u00a0la participation des enfants est tr\u00e8s importante parce que nous savons qu’au Tchad, nous n’avons pas une base de donn\u00e9es de ces malades\u00a0\u00bb.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
\u00ab\u00a0Eux seront des ambassadeurs parce que ceux qui ont la maladie connaissent mieux. Ces enfants vont aller au del\u00e0 de leur maison, quartier, pour communiquer encore plus et faire passer le message\u00a0\u00bb, ajoute-elle.<\/div>\n

Des experts se sont pench\u00e9s sur plusieurs th\u00e9matiques durant les cinq jours de formation enrichissants : la vie associative, les moyens pour se prot\u00e9ger, amener les gens \u00e0 se faire d\u00e9pister, et accepter la maladie.<\/div>\n

\u00a0\u00ab\u00a0Quand vous acceptez la maladie, aujourd’hui, vous pouvez vivre. Aujourd’hui, la dr\u00e9panocytose n’est plus une fatalit\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, d\u00e9fend Saboura Dounia.<\/div>\n

La dr\u00e9panocytose est une maladie g\u00e9n\u00e9tique due \u00e0 la d\u00e9formation des globules rouges. Elle se manifeste par des douleurs, infections et d\u00e9formations des globules rouges, a expliqu\u00e9 l’un des experts au cours de la formation.<\/div>\n
