Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Le cerveau des chiens r\u00e9agit diff\u00e9remment aux phrases en diff\u00e9rentes langues, selon une r\u00e9cente \u00e9tude. Une d\u00e9couverte permettant aux chercheurs de supposer que ces animaux domestiques d\u00e9tectent bien plus de d\u00e9tails de notre langage que nous l\u2019imaginions.<\/p>\n

Un groupe de scientifiques de l’universit\u00e9 Lorand-E\u00f6tv\u00f6s de Budapest, en Hongrie, ont men\u00e9 une \u00e9tude visant \u00e0 pr\u00e9ciser l\u2019aptitude des chiens domestiques \u00e0 percevoir le langage humain.<\/p>\n

Les r\u00e9sultats de l\u2019\u00e9tude ont \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9s en d\u00e9cembre dans une revue NeuroImage. Utilisant l\u2019imagerie par r\u00e9sonance magn\u00e9tique, les chercheurs ont analys\u00e9 les r\u00e9ponses neuronales dans les cervelles de 18 chiens au langage humain.<\/p>\n

Au cours des exp\u00e9riences, les animaux \u00e9coutaient d\u2019abord des enregistrements sonores en deux langues, hongrois et espagnol, dont seulement une \u00e9tait famili\u00e8re \u00e0 une partie des chiens.<\/p>\n

Les auteurs de l\u2019\u00e9tude ont d\u00e9couvert une diff\u00e9rence de r\u00e9actions neuronales \u00e0 la langue de communication avec leurs ma\u00eetres de certains chiens par rapport \u00e0 une langue inconnue.<\/p>\n

La r\u00e9action \u00e0 la langue \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9trang\u00e8re\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 plus accentu\u00e9e chez les animaux plus \u00e2g\u00e9s, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire plus longtemps \u00ab\u00a0habitu\u00e9s\u00a0\u00bb \u00e0 la langue de leurs ma\u00eetres.<\/p>\n

Se fondant sur cette m\u00eame hypoth\u00e8se, les chercheurs ont \u00e9galement fait \u00e9couter aux chiens des phrases correctes et des enregistrements sonores diffus\u00e9s \u00e0 l\u2019envers et donc absurdes.<\/p>\n

Le r\u00e9sultat de cette partie de l\u2019\u00e9tude a confirm\u00e9 la supposition de ses auteurs que les chiens r\u00e9agissent diff\u00e9remment aux paroles \u00ab\u00a0naturelles\u00a0\u00bb et au \u00ab\u00a0langage brouill\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire qu\u2019ils sont dot\u00e9s de \u00ab\u00a0sensibilit\u00e9 \u00e0 la naturalit\u00e9 sonore\u00a0\u00bb des langues humaines.<\/p>\n

Parmi les t\u00e2ches futures, cette \u00e9quipe de chercheurs voudrait comprendre s\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019une aptitude sp\u00e9ciale des chiens d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e au cours de milliers d\u2019ann\u00e9es de vie avec les humains, ou d\u2019une capacit\u00e9 g\u00e9n\u00e9rale auparavant inconnue des \u00ab\u00a0esp\u00e8ces non humaines\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Premi\u00e8re domestication du cheval<\/b><\/p>\n

Un autre type d\u2019analyse scientifique, cette fois g\u00e9n\u00e9tique, a aid\u00e9 les sp\u00e9cialistes \u00e0 rep\u00e9rer l\u2019origine g\u00e9ographique du cheval domestique. Une \u00e9quipe internationale de chercheurs, dont l\u2019\u00e9tude a \u00e9t\u00e9 publi\u00e9e en octobre dernier dans la revue britannique Nature, avaient examin\u00e9 plusieurs versions r\u00e9gionales, qui comprenaient l\u2019Ib\u00e9rie, l\u2019Anatolie et l\u2019Asie centrale.<\/p>\n

Ayant rejet\u00e9 plusieurs hypoth\u00e8ses pr\u00e9c\u00e9dentes et s\u2019appuyant sur les r\u00e9sultats de s\u00e9quen\u00e7age de 273 chevaux anciens, les scientifiques ont identifi\u00e9 \u00ab\u00a0comme la patrie des chevaux domestiques modernes\u00a0\u00bb \u00ab\u00a0les steppes d’Eurasie occidentale, en particulier la r\u00e9gion de la basse Volga-Don\u00a0\u00bb sur le territoire de la Russie contemporaine.<\/p>\n
