Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Entr\u00e9 en r\u00e9bellion en 2005, Tom Erdimi avait disparu fin 2020 il y a plus d’un an en \u00c9gypte o\u00f9 il r\u00e9sidait. Sa famille se disait sans nouvelles et avait saisi le Comit\u00e9 des Droits de l’Homme de l’ONU.<\/p>\n

Son fr\u00e8re Timan a donc confirm\u00e9 sur RFI avoir eu une preuve de vie tangible. Cela intervient \u00e0 l’approche d’une rencontre politique importante pour les autorit\u00e9s tchadiennes de la transition.<\/p>\n

Cette preuve de vie arrive juste avant le fameux pr\u00e9-dialogue cens\u00e9 se tenir \u00e0 Doha au Qatar et dont la date est encore incertaine. Ce rendez-vous doit pr\u00e9parer le futur dialogue national inclusif de Ndjamena.<\/p>\n

L’un des enjeux majeurs est la participation de tous les mouvements politico-militaires. Les autorit\u00e9s de la transition tchadienne ont besoin que tous les groupes soient \u00e0 la table des discussions.<\/p>\n

Or, Timan Erdimi \u00e0 la t\u00eate d’une des principales coalitions rebelles et vivant en exil au Qatar avait pos\u00e9 comme condition \u00e0 sa participation que son fr\u00e8re Tom soit lib\u00e9r\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Cette preuve de vie tangible appara\u00eet donc comme un geste de plus dans une tentative de d\u00e9crispation. Tom Erdimi, pour le moment, est toujours d\u00e9tenu au Caire, \u00e0 la prison de Tora, selon son fr\u00e8re Timan.<\/p>\n

Ce dernier ne lui a pas parl\u00e9 directement au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone, mais un neveu est all\u00e9 en \u00c9gypte au d\u00e9but du mois avec l’actuel pr\u00e9sident du Tchad Mahamat Idriss D\u00e9by.<\/p>\n

Lib\u00e9ration de prisonniers \u00c0 cette occasion, ce neveu a rendu visite \u00e0 son oncle. Ce membre de la famille est d’ailleurs rest\u00e9 en \u00c9gypte pour s’occuper de la proc\u00e9dure permettant la lib\u00e9ration totale de Tom Erdimi.<\/p>\n

Tom Erdimi, 66 ans, \u00e9tait en \u00c9gypte avec le statut de r\u00e9fugi\u00e9, selon sa famille, quand il a disparu il y a un an en d\u00e9cembre 2020. Il aurait \u00e9t\u00e9 arr\u00eat\u00e9, selon ses proches, par les services secrets \u00e9gyptiens.<\/p>\n

Cette perspective de d\u00e9nouement pour Tom Erdimi co\u00efncide avec d’autres gestes des autorit\u00e9s tchadiennes. Mardi 18 janvier, une c\u00e9r\u00e9monie de lib\u00e9ration de prisonniers amnisti\u00e9s a eu lieu.<\/p>\n

Parmi eux, des membres de l’Union des forces de la r\u00e9sistance (UFR), l’alliance rebelle dirig\u00e9e par Timan Erdimi. Il y avait \u00e9galement des membres du Mouvement pour la paix, la reconstruction et le d\u00e9veloppement (MPRD) de Djibrine Dassert.<\/p>\n

En d\u00e9cembre, la transition dirig\u00e9e par Mahamat Idriss D\u00e9by a adopt\u00e9 deux lois d’amnistie pour pr\u00e8s de 300 opposants et combattants arr\u00eat\u00e9s sous le r\u00e9gime de feu Idriss D\u00e9by.<\/p>\n

Les d\u00e9tenus appartenant au FACT, eux, ne sont pas concern\u00e9s par l’amnistie, car ils n’ont pas encore \u00e9t\u00e9 jug\u00e9s. Une \u00e9quation \u00e0 r\u00e9soudre pour les autorit\u00e9s de la transition pour esp\u00e9rer obtenir la participation de ce mouvement rebelle au processus de dialogue.<\/p>\n
