Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Les \u00e9changes ont port\u00e9 essentiellement sur la lutte contre le cancer, une maladie qui reste un probl\u00e8me majeur de sant\u00e9 publique. Selon les responsables de cette Agence, leur institution est engag\u00e9e \u00e0 aider les pays \u00e0 faire face \u00e0 la charge croissante du cancer en les appuyant \u00e0 acheter du mat\u00e9riel de diagnostic et de traitement, de former le personnel \u00e0 l\u2019utilisation des moyens techniques et de fournir des services d\u2019assurance de qualit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Cette rencontre a permis \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9quipe de l\u2019Agence de voir la possibilit\u00e9 de soutenir le Tchad \u00e0 lutter efficacement contre cette maladie. Pour connaitre les r\u00e9alit\u00e9s du Tchad dans ce combat, la coordonnatrice du Programme national de lutte contre le cancer, le Dr Fatima Haggar a rappel\u00e9 qu\u2019en 2008, une \u00e9tude de faisabilit\u00e9 financ\u00e9e par l’AIEA pour la construction d\u2019un centre de radioth\u00e9rapie et m\u00e9decine nucl\u00e9aire, a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e, suivie des visites des centres des cancers de Tunisie et d\u2019Alg\u00e9rie.<\/p>\n

Elle s\u2019est appesantie aussi sur l\u2019absence des structures de prise en charge des malades canc\u00e9reux, le manque du personnel qualifi\u00e9 pour la prise en charge et des soins palliatifs.<\/p>\n

Le ministre de la Sant\u00e9 publique et de la Solidarit\u00e9 nationale, Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul a relev\u00e9 que le processus de recrutement du cabinet qui se chargera de la conception du centre et du suivi des travaux est avanc\u00e9. Le projet est financ\u00e9 par le Fonds kowetien qui a omis un volet fondamental qui est la formation du personnel, pour faire fonctionner le centre.<\/p>\n

Il a fait comprendre \u00e0 ces interlocuteurs que le premier centre d\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat de son d\u00e9partement est d\u2019anticiper la formation massive des m\u00e9decins, des techniciens et des maintenanciers, sans lesquels le centre ne pourra pas fonctionner.<\/p>\n

L\u2019\u00e9quipe technique est en train de travailler avec exactitude sur la quantit\u00e9 et la qualit\u00e9 du personnel n\u00e9cessaire \u00e0 former. Et cette formation doit durer trois \u00e0 quatre ans.<\/p>\n

Le ministre de la Sant\u00e9 a sollicit\u00e9 l\u2019appui sans faille de l\u2019Agence Internationale de l’Energie Atomique, pour le volet formation qui rev\u00eat une importance capitale.<\/p>\n

Il dit compter sur l\u2019accompagnement de l\u2019AIEA, pour superviser toutes les prochaines \u00e9tapes afin de r\u00e9pondre au standard international. C\u2019est un projet ambitieux pour le Tchad, a ajout\u00e9 le Dr Abdoulaye Sabre Fadoul.<\/p>\n

Le ministre a, au nom du gouvernement de la R\u00e9publique du Tchad, remerci\u00e9 l\u2019ensemble de l\u2019\u00e9quipe qui n’a pas cesser d’accompagner le pays depuis 2006.<\/p>\n
