Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Au moins huit personnes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 tu\u00e9es et des dizaines d’autres bless\u00e9es dans une bousculade \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur du stade Paul Biya lors d’un match de la Coupe d’Afrique des Nations de football au Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Des vid\u00e9os ont montr\u00e9 des foules de supporters hurlants \u00e9cras\u00e9s aux portes d’entr\u00e9e du stade, dans la capitale Yaound\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Des t\u00e9moins ont d\u00e9crit des sc\u00e8nes chaotiques \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur du stade, alors que des milliers de supporters se battaient pour y acc\u00e9der.<\/p>\n

Sur les 38 personnes qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 bless\u00e9es, sept sont dans un \u00e9tat grave.<\/p>\n

Un enfant figure parmi les morts, selon des responsables cit\u00e9s par l’agence de presse AFP.<\/p>\n

Le stade a une capacit\u00e9 de 60 000 places, mais en raison des restrictions impos\u00e9es par le Covid, il ne devait pas \u00eatre rempli \u00e0 plus de 80 % pour le match de lundi.<\/p>\n

Les responsables du match auraient d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que quelque 50 000 personnes tentaient d’y assister.<\/p>\n

Le journaliste danois Buster Emil Kirchner a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 la BBC avoir vu \u00ab\u00a0beaucoup de chaos\u00a0\u00bb aux portes du stade, alors que les supporters se pressaient pour entrer dans l’enceinte.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les gens couraient, escaladaient les cl\u00f4tures, franchissaient les barricades\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-il d\u00e9clar\u00e9, ajoutant qu’il avait vu de nombreuses personnes sans billet essayer \u00ab\u00a0d’entrer de force\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

La journaliste Leocadia Bongben a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 l’\u00e9mission Newsday de la BBC qu’elle avait vu de l’agitation provenant de l’une des zones r\u00e9serv\u00e9es aux supporters \u00e0 l’ext\u00e9rieur du stade.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0Les gens ont commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 crier. Une minute apr\u00e8s, une ambulance est arriv\u00e9e au stade, mais lorsque nous sommes arriv\u00e9s sur place, la police ne nous a pas autoris\u00e9s \u00e0 nous approcher de l’endroit o\u00f9 la bousculade s’est produite\u00a0\u00bb, a-t-elle d\u00e9clar\u00e9.<\/p>\n

\u00ab\u00a0C’est vraiment une situation assez triste que des gens aillent regarder un match et qu’ils finissent par y mourir\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Nick Cavell, producteur pour BBC Africa, assistait au match et a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 que la nouvelle de lla bousculade n’avait pas sembl\u00e9 filtrer dans la foule jusqu’\u00e0 ce que les r\u00e9seaux sociaux en fassent \u00e9tat.<\/p>\n

Des chaussures jet\u00e9es et d’autres d\u00e9bris \u00e9taient \u00e9parpill\u00e9s autour de l’entr\u00e9e du stade, a-t-il dit.<\/p>\n

L’infirmi\u00e8re Olinga Prudence a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 \u00e0 l’Associated Press que certains des bless\u00e9s \u00e9taient dans un \u00ab\u00a0\u00e9tat d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n

La Conf\u00e9d\u00e9ration africaine de football (CAF) a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 dans un communiqu\u00e9 qu’elle enqu\u00eatait sur la situation.<\/p>\n

Le match de huiti\u00e8me de finale entre le Cameroun et les Comores a eu lieu malgr\u00e9 l’incident et s’est termin\u00e9 par une victoire 2-1 des h\u00f4tes.<\/p>\n
