Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Dans le cadre de l\u2019ex\u00e9cution de son Programme Sahel, la Cellule Norbert Zongo pour le Journalisme d\u2019Investigation (Cenozo), a organis\u00e9 une table ronde entre les journalistes, les acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et les d\u00e9cideurs publics sur l\u2019un des sujets br\u00fblants du moment : Les changements climatiques. C\u2019\u00e9tait le vendredi 21 avril \u00e0 Bamako.<\/p>\n

Le th\u00e8me de cette rencontre \u00e9tait : \u00ab D\u00e9fis climatiques et environnementaux : quelles collaborations entre m\u00e9dias et soci\u00e9t\u00e9s civiles \u00bb. En initiant ce cadre d\u2019\u00e9changes, la Cenozo entend offrir aux hommes de m\u00e9dias l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 de parler \u00e0 haute et intelligible voix de l\u2019apport du journalisme d\u2019investigation \u00e0 la r\u00e9duction des effets des changements climatiques. De leur c\u00f4t\u00e9, permettre aux acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile ainsi que les d\u00e9cideurs publics de d\u00e9couvrir le Programme : \u00ab renforcer le journalisme d\u2019investigation au Sahel et de s\u2019approprier ses r\u00e9sultats \u00bb.<\/p>\n

C\u2019est ainsi qu\u2019au cours des d\u00e9bats tr\u00e8s int\u00e9ressants, les journalistes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sollicit\u00e9s par les acteurs de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile \u00e0 s\u2019int\u00e9resser davantage \u00e0 cette question des changements climatiques pour un \u00e9veil et une prise de conscience de leurs inconv\u00e9nients et de leurs causes g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement provoqu\u00e9es par des actes humains au rang desquels l\u2019on peut citer entre autres : la pollution par les industriels, la d\u00e9forestation et l\u2019absence de reboisement. Des comportements aux cons\u00e9quences \u00e9normes pour l\u2019humanit\u00e9 car sources de conflits et de migration. \u00ab Le charbon de bois constitue 80 % de notre consommation \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique loin devant les hydrocarbures et le gaz \u00bb, a fait savoir Cheick Oumar Karamako Traor\u00e9 de la direction des Eaux et For\u00eats. \u00ab La quantit\u00e9 de charbons de bois consomm\u00e9e au Mali fait froid au dos. Car on y voit des hectares de for\u00eats partis en fum\u00e9e par an. Il urge de mettre en place des m\u00e9canismes compensatoires pour faciliter et acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer la r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration des for\u00eats consum\u00e9es apr\u00e8s l\u2019abattage des arbitres. Sinon si rien n\u2019est fait, la crise \u00e9nerg\u00e9tique pourrait \u00eatre plus catastrophique que celles que nous connaissons aujourd\u2019hui, a-t-il pr\u00e9venu.<\/p>\n

Face \u00e0 cette interpellation pour sauver l\u2019humanit\u00e9, les hommes de m\u00e9dias ont fait \u00e9tat des difficult\u00e9s qu\u2019ils rencontrent dans l\u2019exercice de leur m\u00e9tier sur ce sujet tr\u00e8s sensible. Par ailleurs, ils se sont aussi interrog\u00e9s sur la r\u00e9action de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile et des d\u00e9cideurs face \u00e0 l\u2019exportation abusive de bois. \u00ab Quelle explication donnez-vous face au fait que le Mali ne soit pas un pays forestier mais exporte 70 000 tonnes de bois ? Quelles sont les mesures prises par rapport au dragage de nos eaux ? \u00bb S\u2019est interrog\u00e9 Daouda Konat\u00e9, repr\u00e9sentant de la Maison de la Presse.<\/p>\n
