Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>L\u2019association des jeunes pour la lutte contre le braconnage (AJLCB) a lanc\u00e9 officiellement ses activit\u00e9s, le samedi 25 juin \u00e0 la maison des jeunes de N\u2019Djari dans le 8\u00e8me arrondissement.<\/p>\n

L\u2019association AJLCB a pour but essentiel la lutte contre le braconnage dans les parcs nationaux et les aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es du pays \u00e0 travers la sensibilisation, l\u2019information, la formation et l\u2019\u00e9ducation des populations dans les ferriques (campement des nomades) et les villages aux alentours.Le pr\u00e9sident de l\u2019association Se\u00efd Kelba Angal a rappel\u00e9 qu\u2019en 2002, le nombre de la population d\u2019\u00e9l\u00e9phant dans le parc de Zakouma \u00e9tait estim\u00e9 \u00e0 plus de 4 500 individus. \u201cDix ans apr\u00e8s, en 2012, le nombre a chut\u00e9 jusqu\u2019\u00e0 450 esp\u00e8ces. Aujourd\u2019hui avec l\u2019appui du gouvernement tchadien en partenariat avec le projet African Parks install\u00e9 depuis 2010, le calme est revenu dans le parc national de Zakouma\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cL\u2019association a essentiellement pour objectif la lutte contre le braconnage sous toutes ses formes, sur toute l\u2019\u00e9tendue du territoire national et notamment dans les r\u00e9serves de faune, les aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es et les parcs nationaux de notre pays \u00e0 travers la sensibilisation, les informations, la formation et l\u2019\u00e9ducation des populations dans les villages, les grands centres et les ferriques\u201d, rappelle-t-il.<\/p>\n

Pour rappel l\u2019association est d\u00e9nomm\u00e9e, association des jeunes pour la lutte contre le braconnage (AJLCB) baptis\u00e9e Al-himaya. Elle est une association apolitique et la\u00efque \u00e0 but non lucratif r\u00e9gie par les dispositions en vigueur en R\u00e9publique du Tchad.<\/p>\n
