Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Par un communiqu\u00e9 de presse, la CBT dit apprendre avec \u00e9tonnement son implication dans une affaire financi\u00e8re \u00e0 travers la publication d\u2019un article intitul\u00e9 \u00ab Urgent Tchad : Orabank et la Commercial Bank of Tchad (CBT) risquent des sanctions de la COBAC \u00bb.<\/p>\n

Selon le communiqu\u00e9, dans cette publication, l\u2019organe de presse APP (Agence de presse panafricaine), a associ\u00e9 la CBT \u00e0 une op\u00e9ration sur les fonds de la SHT (Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 des Hydrocarbures du Tchad) log\u00e9s \u00e0 ORABANK Tchad qui ne la concerne ni de pr\u00e8s ni de loin.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Dans le m\u00eame article, il est fait mention d\u2019un scandale d\u2019Etat impliquant la CBT et plusieurs personnalit\u00e9s, alors m\u00eame que la banque n\u2019entretient actuellement aucune relation commerciale avec les personnes cit\u00e9es dans cette affaire, pr\u00e9cise le communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Et d\u2019ajouter, cette information a \u00e9t\u00e9 curieusement publi\u00e9e dans la m\u00eame journ\u00e9e o\u00f9 la CBT a re\u00e7u la notification d\u2019une mission de contr\u00f4le de la COBAC. Par ailleurs, la CBT indique que depuis le 2\u00e8me semestre 2021, elle fait de s\u00e9rieux efforts dans le redressement de sa situation financi\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Dans cette dynamique d\u2019effort inlassable pour maintenir la cadence d\u2019optimisation et de performance, la banque ne saurait accepter les actions visant \u00e0 ralentir cet \u00e9lan et nuire \u00e0 sa r\u00e9putation. \u00bb<\/p>\n

La CBT d\u00e9nonce cette atteinte \u00e0 son image et se r\u00e9serve le droit de mener des poursuites pour diffamation et divulgation de documents couverts par le secret bancaire.<\/p>\n
