\nLe Tchad cit\u00e9 par le FMI comme le premier pays \u00e0 demander de l\u2019aide dans le cadre commun du G20, mais qu\u2019il avait besoin d\u2019un accord sur la dette entre les cr\u00e9anciers y compris le g\u00e9ant minier et commercial Glencore pour d\u00e9bloquer les Fonds. Cet accord pourrait d\u00e9bloquer les programmes de financement du FMI et les d\u00e9caissements. Il confie que des discussions se poursuivent entre le Tchad et l\u2019organisation mon\u00e9taire d\u2019o\u00f9 ils pr\u00e9voient de continuer \u00e0 se r\u00e9unir.<\/p>\n

\u201cNous pensons qu\u2019il est essentiel, encore une fois, que l\u2019accord soit conclu rapidement avec tous les cr\u00e9anciers \u2013 y compris Glencore \u2013 pour nous permettre de soumettre ce premier examen dans le cadre de l\u2019accord en cours que nous avons avec le Tchad\u201c, confie Rice.<\/p>\n

Il poursuit qu\u2019Un accord de restructuration de la dette permettrait au FMI de demander l\u2019approbation du conseil d\u2019administration d\u2019une r\u00e9vision de l\u2019accord de facilit\u00e9 de cr\u00e9dit \u00e9largie de 571 millions de dollars du Tchad, ce qui d\u00e9bloquerait un soutien financier pour le pays.<\/p>\n

Il est \u00e0 noter que le Tchad n\u2019est pas l\u2019unique demandeur sur cette liste, l\u2019Ethiopie et la Zambie y figurent. Le scandale SHT GATE serait aussi au menu d\u2019une r\u00e9union tenue le mercredi 13 juillet et les cr\u00e9anciers priv\u00e9s auraient r\u00e9fl\u00e9chi \u00e0 l\u2019opportunit\u00e9 d\u2019accepter un nouvel all\u00e9gement des pr\u00eats garantis par le p\u00e9trole qui avaient d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 restructur\u00e9s en 2018. Mais le porte-parole du FMI Gerry Rice a refus\u00e9 de commenter informe Addis Standars.<\/p>\n
