Africa-Press<\/a> – Tchad<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>L\u2019opposant tchadien Saleh Kebzabo, candidat malheureux \u00e0 quatre reprises face au chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat Idriss D\u00e9by Itno, a annonc\u00e9 vendredi qu\u2019il se pr\u00e9senterait finalement au scrutin pr\u00e9sidentiel du 11 avril.<\/p>\n

Trois jours auparavant, Saleh Kebzabo avait pourtant reconnu mardi sa d\u00e9faite lors d\u2019une primaire face \u00e0 un inconnu et novice en politique, Th\u00e9ophile Bebzoune Bongoro, d\u00e9sign\u00e9 candidat commun d\u2019une coalition de 15 partis d\u2019opposition \u00e0 peine cr\u00e9\u00e9e, Alliance Victoire. L\u2019opposition, qui avance toujours d\u00e9sunie face \u00e0 Idriss D\u00e9by Itno, avait cette fois d\u00e9cid\u00e9, au moins pour ces 15 mouvements, dont l\u2019Union nationale pour la d\u00e9mocratie et le renouveau (UNDR) de Saleh Kebzabo, de d\u00e9signer un candidat commun. Mais depuis cette d\u00e9signation surprise, l\u2019UNDR pressait Saleh Kebzabo de quitter l\u2019alliance et de se pr\u00e9senter.<\/p>\n

Je serai candidat aux prochaines \u00e9lections \u00bb Certaines voix dans l\u2019opposition, ainsi que des politologues, soup\u00e7onnent Th\u00e9ophile Bebzoune Bongoro de faire le jeu du chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat, voire d\u2019\u00eatre \u00ab pilot\u00e9 \u00bb par lui. \u00ab \u00c0 l\u2019issue de notre congr\u00e8s extraordinaire, deux r\u00e9solutions ont \u00e9t\u00e9 adopt\u00e9es \u00bb, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Saleh Kebzabo \u00e0 l\u2019AFP : \u00ab La premi\u00e8re sur le retrait de notre parti de l\u2019Alliance Victoire et la seconde me d\u00e9signant comme candidat \u00bb. \u00ab En un mot, je serai candidat aux prochaines \u00e9lections \u00bb, a conclu le d\u00e9put\u00e9 et ancien ministre d\u2019Idriss D\u00e9by Itno.<\/p>\n

Leader \u00ab historique \u00bb de l\u2019opposition<\/b><\/p>\n

Fort de sept si\u00e8ges UNDR \u00e0 l\u2019Assembl\u00e9e nationale, Saleh Kebzabo, 73 ans, est consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme le leader \u00ab historique \u00bb de l\u2019opposition et s\u2019illustre r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement par des critiques acerbes sur la gouvernance d\u2019Idriss D\u00e9by Itno, qui dirige le Tchad depuis 1990. Saleh Kebzabo, ancien journaliste, arriv\u00e9 en troisi\u00e8me position \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sidentielle de 1996, s\u2019\u00e9tait ralli\u00e9 au chef de l\u2019\u00c9tat au second tour, avant d\u2019entrer dans son gouvernement. Il y encha\u00eenera les portefeuilles jusqu\u2019\u00e0 sa rupture avec le pr\u00e9sident en 1999, qu\u2019il affrontera encore sans succ\u00e8s aux \u00e9lections pr\u00e9sidentielles de 2001, 2006 et 2016.<\/p>\n
