Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Le minist\u00e8re de la sant\u00e9 en collaboration avec l\u2019Organisation mondiale de la sant\u00e9 (OMS) organise un atelier d\u2019\u00e9laboration du plan strat\u00e9gique pour l\u2019\u00e9limination de la fi\u00e8vre jaune au Tchad. A l\u2019instar des autres pays membres de l\u2019OMS, le Tchad s\u2019est joint \u00e0 cette strat\u00e9gie mondiale pour l\u2019\u00e9limination des \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de fi\u00e8vre jaune (EYE) d\u2019ici 2026.<\/p>\n

Des experts venus d\u2019Afrique et du Tchad avec les partenaires de la vaccination notamment l\u2019OMS, l\u2019UNICEF, les fondations Bill et M\u00e9linda Gates, Aliko Dangot\u00e9, GAVI, Banque mondiale, sont r\u00e9unis pour discuter sur la question d\u2019\u00e9limination de la fi\u00e8vre jaune au Tchad. Pendant trois jours, ces experts vont sortir un plan strat\u00e9gique multisectoriel d\u2019\u00e9limination de la fi\u00e8vre jaune au Tchad sera \u00e9labor\u00e9 avec une feuille de route pour la mobilisation des ressources.<\/p>\n

Le secr\u00e9taire g\u00e9n\u00e9ral adjoint du minist\u00e8re de la Sant\u00e9 publique, Dr Mahamat Hamid Ahmat a soulign\u00e9 que la fi\u00e8vre jaune peut tr\u00e8s facilement \u00eatre transmise d\u2019un pays tropical \u00e0 un autre du fait du caract\u00e8re ubiquitaire des vecteurs et notamment d\u2019Aedes aegypti. \u201cLes \u00e9pid\u00e9mies de fi\u00e8vre jaune surviennent dans ce contexte de mobilit\u00e9 de population permettant de faire le lien entre le cycle sauvage et les \u00e9pid\u00e9mies urbaines\u201c.<\/p>\n

Il rel\u00e8ve que le risque de propagation internationale, les modifcations de l\u2019\u00e9pid\u00e9miologie de cette maladie et la r\u00e9surgence des moustiques constituent une menace mondiale nouvelle qui appelle une r\u00e9fexion strat\u00e9gique nouvelle. En 2013, suite \u00e0 une \u00e9pid\u00e9mie de fi\u00e8vre jaune au Soudan, le Tchad a enregistr\u00e9 139 cas suspects dont 9 d\u00e9c\u00e8s. \u201cCompte tenu de la faible couverture vaccinale, nous notons des cas suspects chaque ann\u00e9e. Ainsi, de la premi\u00e8re semaine \u00e9pid\u00e9miologique (S1) 2021 \u00e0 la 29 semaine (2022), 1 606 cas suspects de fi\u00e8vre jaune ont \u00e9t\u00e9 notifi\u00e9 dans 116 districts avec 7 d\u00e9c\u00e8s\u201c.<\/p>\n

Malgr\u00e9 les efforts du gouvernement avec l\u2019appui technique et financier de nos partenaires, l\u2019incidence de cette maladie devient inqui\u00e9tante. \u201cC\u2019est pourquoi, je suis convaincu que lors de vos \u00e9changes au cours de cet atelier permettrons d\u2019avoir un plan clair. Nous devons doubler d\u2019efforts pour que notre pays soit un pays sans fi\u00e8vre jaune et pour toujours. Chacun d\u2019entre nous doit veiller \u00e0 ce que tous les voyageurs soient munis de leurs cartes de vaccination contre la fi\u00e8vre jaune aux points d\u2019entr\u00e9e et de sortie\u201c, conclut-il.<\/p>\n
