Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Brexit oblige, le Royaume-Uni lance un nouveau syst\u00e8me de commerce avec plus de 60 pays en d\u00e9veloppement, dont certains du continent africain, qui pr\u00e9voit des r\u00e9ductions de tarifs douaniers pour quasiment toutes les importations africaines sur le march\u00e9 britannique.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 partir de 2023, se mettra en place au Royaume-Uni un nouveau sch\u00e9ma commercial, visant \u00e0 \u00e9tendre les r\u00e9ductions tarifaires \u00e0 des centaines de produits import\u00e9s de pays en d\u00e9veloppement.<\/p>\n

Ainsi, les r\u00e9ductions porteront sur les importations de v\u00eatements, de chaussures, mais \u00e9galement de denr\u00e9es alimentaires telles que les tomates, concombres, huiles de coco et d\u2019olive. Par exemple, les concombres, qui ne peuvent pas \u00eatre cultiv\u00e9s en Grande-Bretagne en hiver, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficieront d\u2019une absence de taxes pendant la p\u00e9riode hivernale, et cela sera valable pour la majorit\u00e9 des pays.<\/p>\n

Le programme, baptis\u00e9 R\u00e9gime commercial des pays en d\u00e9veloppement (DCTS), couvre 65 pays d\u2019Afrique, d\u2019Asie, d\u2019Oc\u00e9anie et des Am\u00e9riques. Les pays africains grands gagnants?<\/p>\n

Selon Gill Atkinson, haut-commissaire britannique par int\u00e9rim au Nigeria, gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce syst\u00e8me, les exportateurs nig\u00e9rians d\u2019huile de coco pourront \u00e9conomiser 180.000 livres sterling (soit 218.000 dollars am\u00e9ricains). Globalement, 99% des importations nig\u00e9rianes en Grande-Bretagne ne seront pas tax\u00e9es, ce qui pourrait faire \u00e9conomiser 500.000 livres sterling aux exportateurs, soit 605.000 dollars am\u00e9ricains.<\/p>\n

Quant au Rwanda, Theoneste Ntagengerwa, porte-parole de la F\u00e9d\u00e9ration du secteur priv\u00e9, esp\u00e8re qu’avec ces r\u00e9ductions tarifaires, les produits locaux seront plus comp\u00e9titifs sur le march\u00e9 britannique.<\/p>\n
