Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Le Programme d\u2019appui \u00e0 la gestion concert\u00e9e des Aires Prot\u00e9g\u00e9es et Ecosyst\u00e8mes Fragiles du Tchad (APEF), a lanc\u00e9 ce jeudi 6 octobre, un atelier de pr\u00e9sentation et de validation de la Strat\u00e9gie Nationale de la Lutte Anti-Braconnage (LAB) au Tchad.<\/b><\/p>\n

Le trafic des esp\u00e8ces sauvages repr\u00e9sente l\u2019un des commerces ill\u00e9gaux les plus lucratifs au monde, avec une valeur annuelle estim\u00e9e \u00e0 23 milliards de dollars. Elle repr\u00e9sente une menace plan\u00e9taire \u00e0 multiples facettes, avec des d\u00e9fis propres \u00e0 chaque pays ou r\u00e9gion. Le Tchad quant \u00e0 lui, selon Alhadji Isma\u00ebl Cha\u00efbo, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral technique des ressources foresti\u00e8res, fauniques et de la p\u00eache, se caract\u00e9rise par une grande diversit\u00e9 biologique avec un r\u00e9seau d\u2019aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es repr\u00e9sentatives des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes sahariens, sah\u00e9liens et soudano-guin\u00e9ens. \u201cQuelques aires prot\u00e9g\u00e9es (AP) au Tchad, b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient des appuis des partenaires effectifs en termes de conservation par contre, d\u2019autres AP manquent cruellement d\u2019appuis mena\u00e7ant la perte de leur biodiversit\u00e9<\/b>\u201c, d\u00e9plore-t-il.<\/p>\n

Pour lui, le braconnage et le trafic des esp\u00e8ces sauvages \u00e9rodent la biodiversit\u00e9 et les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes, et ravagent des populations cl\u00e9s d\u2019esp\u00e8ces en voie de disparition, dont certaines sont au bord de l\u2019extinction. Ils engendrent l\u2019ins\u00e9curit\u00e9, perp\u00e9tuent les conflits, encouragent la corruption et s\u2019exercent partout o\u00f9 la faune sauve s\u2019y trouve. Bien que la conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9 soit d\u00e9finie comme prioritaire dans le Plan National de D\u00e9veloppement du Tchad (PND 2017-2021), il n\u2019existe pas encore de politique nationale de conservation au Tchad valid\u00e9e au niveau du gouvernement prenant en compte la lutte anti-braconnage, ni de strat\u00e9gie nationale de lutte anti-braconnage pourtant depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es le Tchad s\u2019est positionn\u00e9, au plus haut niveau de l\u2019\u00c9tat, comme un des pays les plus engag\u00e9s dans la conservation en Afrique Centrale, informe Alhadji Isma\u00ebl Cha\u00efbo.<\/p>\n

\u201cC\u2019est ainsi que le Programme APEF, financ\u00e9 par l\u2019Union europ\u00e9enne a appuy\u00e9 l\u2019\u00e9laboration de la strat\u00e9gie nationale de la LAB afin de mettre \u00e0 la disposition du gouvernement, un document strat\u00e9gique pour la Lutte Anti-Braconnage (LAB)<\/b>\u201c, poursuit le directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral technique des ressources foresti\u00e8res, fauniques et de la p\u00eache.<\/p>\n

Les participants \u00e0 cet atelier, informent les termes de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence, vont discuter et valider l\u2019approche et les \u00e9tapes cl\u00e9s du processus d\u2019\u00e9laboration de la strat\u00e9gie nationale de la lutte anti braconnage qui est un imp\u00e9ratif pour la conservation de la biodiversit\u00e9 du Tchad. Aussi, ils dresseront l\u2019\u00e9tat des lieux et analyser la situation actuelle en mati\u00e8re de LAB au Tchad ; d\u2019\u00e9crire les \u00e9l\u00e9ments et sc\u00e9narios attendus pour une application efficace de la Strat\u00e9gie Nationale de conservation des \u00e9l\u00e9phants et pour l\u2019\u00e9laboration d\u2019une future strat\u00e9gie nationale LAB et enfin, d\u2019\u00e9tablir le cadre d\u2019intervention d\u2019APEF pour apporter un appui aux op\u00e9rations d\u2019urgence LAB.<\/p>\n
