Le Sommet des Chefs d’E\u0301tat et de Gouvernement est l’organe supre\u0302me de l’Organisation et de\u0301finit l’orientation ge\u0301ne\u0301rale de la politique de l’OEACP.<\/p>\n

L’OEACP est une organisation cre\u0301e\u0301e par l’Accord de Georgetown en 1975 et compose\u0301e de 79 E\u0301tats d’Afrique, des Carai\u0308bes et du Pacifique. Cette dernie\u0300re a pour principaux objectifs :<\/p>\n

\u2022 Le de\u0301veloppement durable de ses E\u0301tats membres et leur inte\u0301gration progressive dans l’e\u0301conomie mondiale, ce qui implique de faire de la re\u0301duction de la pauvrete\u0301 une priorite\u0301 et d’instaurer un ordre mondial plus juste et plus e\u0301quitable nouvel ;<\/p>\n

\u2022 La coordination des activite\u0301s de l’OEACP dans le cadre de la mise en \u0153uvre des accords de partenariat ACP-CE ;<\/p>\n

\u2022 La consolidation de l’unite\u0301 et de la solidarite\u0301 entre les membres de l’OEACP, ainsi que la compre\u0301hension entre leurs peuples ;<\/p>\n

\u2022 L\u2019e\u0301tablissement et consolidation de la paix et de la stabilite\u0301 dans une socie\u0301te\u0301 libre et de\u0301mocratique.<\/p>\n

Le Sommet a e\u0301te\u0301 pre\u0301ce\u0301de\u0301 d’un Forum des entreprises, qui a aborde\u0301 les questions lie\u0301es au commerce entre les E\u0301tats membres de l’OEACP et les principaux partenaires ; un Forum des femmes sur l’e\u0301conomie bleue ; et un Forum des jeunes qui a mis l’accent sur l’importance de la se\u0301curite\u0301 routie\u0300re.<\/p>\n

Les Chefs d\u2019Etats et de Gouvernement ont de\u0301cide\u0301 a\u0300 l\u2019unanimite\u0301 de confier la pre\u0301sidence de ladite Organisation a\u0300 Joan Manuel Goncalves Lourenco, pre\u0301sident angolais, pour une pe\u0301riode de 3 ans.<\/p>\n
