L\u2019influence des E\u0301tats-Unis et des anciennes puissances coloniales, notamment la France et le Royaume-Uni, est en baisse ces dernie\u0300res anne\u0301es en Afrique en faveur de la Russie et la Chine, rapporte le magazine ame\u0301ricain The Time.<\/p>\n

La bataille occidentale pour l\u2019Afrique serait perdue<\/p>\n

En de\u0301cembre, le sommet E\u0301tats-Unis-Afrique s\u2019est tenu a\u0300 Washington. Pendant cette rencontre, Joe Biden a \u00ab\u00a0tente\u0301 d’inciter les chefs d’E\u0301tat africains\u00a0\u00bb a\u0300 se ranger du co\u0302te\u0301 de l’Occident.<\/p>\n

D\u2019ailleurs, sur les 54 pays africains, seulement 49 chefs d’E\u0301tat et de gouvernement ainsi qu’un repre\u0301sentant de l’Union africaine (UA) y ont assiste\u0301. Le Burkina Faso, la Guine\u0301e, le Mali et le Soudan n’ont pas e\u0301te\u0301 invite\u0301s. L’E\u0301rythre\u0301e, avec laquelle les E\u0301tats-Unis n’ont aucune relation diplomatique, e\u0301tait aussi grande absente. Les dirigeants du Zimbabwe et de l’Afrique du Sud avaient de\u0301cline\u0301 l\u2019invitation pour diverses raisons.<\/p>\n

Mais malgre\u0301 les efforts de Washington, la nouvelle bataille pour l’Afrique \u00ab\u00a0est peut-e\u0302tre de\u0301ja\u0300 perdue\u00a0\u00bb, note le Time. L\u2019Occident ne serait plus le \u00ab\u00a0bienvenu\u00a0\u00bb en Afrique en ge\u0301ne\u0301ral, en particulier dans certains pays d\u2019Afrique francophone, a\u0300 cause des proble\u0300mes comme par exemple le franc CFA, conside\u0301re\u0301 comme une forme de colonisation mone\u0301taire.<\/p>\n

Selon le magazine, l\u2019Afrique, qui \u00ab\u00a0a longtemps e\u0301te\u0301 le terrain de jeu des grandes puissances\u00a0\u00bb, soutient de plus en plus la Russie au niveau international, surtout a\u0300 l’Onu. Ce qui pousse le Kremlin a\u0300 accroi\u0302tre ses partenariats sur le continent.<\/p>\n
