Africa-Press<\/a> – Tchad<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>A quelques jours de la pr\u00e9sidentielle, un rapport de Human Rights Watch (HRW) accable les forces de d\u00e9fense et de s\u00e9curit\u00e9. L\u2019ONG les accuse de mener \u00ab une r\u00e9pression implacable \u00bb contre des opposants \u00e0 l\u2019approche de ce scrutin dont le pr\u00e9sident sortant, Idriss D\u00e9by Itno, candidat \u00e0 un sixi\u00e8me mandat, est assur\u00e9 de remporter.
\nComme \u00e0 chaque samedi, les opposants au r\u00e9gime d\u2019Idriss D\u00e9by organisent des manifestations \u00e0 N\u2019djamena et dans plusieurs villes tchadiennes pour exiger l\u2019alternance au pouvoir. Selon l\u2019ONG Human Rights Watch (HRW), ces mobilisations sont violemment r\u00e9prim\u00e9es par des forces de l\u2019ordre.<\/p>\n

Selon des t\u00e9moins interrog\u00e9s par HRW, \u00ab des forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont pass\u00e9 \u00e0 tabac des manifestants avec des fouets, des b\u00e2tons et des matraques \u00bb. \u00ab Un manifestant a \u00e9galement d\u00e9clar\u00e9 qu\u2019il avait \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 des d\u00e9charges \u00e9lectriques pendant sa d\u00e9tention \u00bb, poursuit l\u2019ONG de d\u00e9fense des droits humains dans son communiqu\u00e9.<\/p>\n

Lors des manifestations organis\u00e9es par l\u2019opposition, les forces de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 ont eu recours, selon HRW, \u00e0 des gaz lacrymog\u00e8nes et ont \u00ab proc\u00e9d\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019arrestation arbitraire d\u2019 au moins 112 membres et sympathisants de partis d\u2019opposition et d\u2019activistes de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 civile, dont certains ont \u00e9t\u00e9 rou\u00e9s de coups \u00bb.<\/p>\n

HRW d\u00e9nonce un \u00ab usage excessif de la force contre des manifestants \u00bb ainsi que des \u00ab traitements inhumains et d\u00e9gradants et de pratiquer la torture \u00bb. Du c\u00f4t\u00e9 du pouvoir, on salue plut\u00f4t le professionnalisme des forces de l\u2019ordre. Le ministre de la justice a par ailleurs pr\u00e9cis\u00e9 que les manifestations avaient \u00e9t\u00e9 interdites.<\/p>\n

Plusieurs opposants se sont retir\u00e9s du processus \u00e9lectoral apr\u00e8s les violences meurtri\u00e8res au domicile du candidat recal\u00e9 Yaya Dillo. Ceux-ci appellent d\u00e9sormais au boycott actif du scrutin et le d\u00e9part du mar\u00e9chal D\u00e9by au pouvoir depuis le coup d\u2019Etat de 1990.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
