Selon le communique\u0301, cette de\u0301cision est motive\u0301e par \u00ab la persistance des diffe\u0301rends entre le Tchad et le Cameroun, notamment autour de la question de la pre\u0301tendue acquisition des actifs de l\u2019ex-ESSO (ex-filiale du ge\u0301ant ame\u0301ricain des hydrocarbures ExxonMobil) par la ne\u0301buleuse Savannah Energy \u00bb, un groupe e\u0301nerge\u0301tique mondial malaisien.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Par tous les canaux de communication existant entre le Tchad et le Cameroun, la question a e\u0301te\u0301 soumise a\u0300 l\u2019attention du Cameroun, tout en l\u2019informant e\u0301galement des agissements inamicaux et contraires aux inte\u0301re\u0302ts du Tchad pose\u0301s par ses repre\u0301sentants dans les conseils d\u2019administration de Cameroun Oil Transportation Company S.A (COTCO) et Tchad Oil Transportation Co. (TOTCO). Plusieurs lettres de suite ont e\u0301te\u0301 adresse\u0301es aux autorite\u0301s camerounaises, lettres qui sont reste\u0301es sans re\u0301ponses \u00bb, a de\u0301plore\u0301 le Tchad.<\/p>\n

\u00ab Aussi, le Tchad se trouve dans l\u2019obligation de de\u0301fendre ses inte\u0301re\u0302ts et sa respectabilite\u0301 et de\u0301nonce les agissements re\u0301pe\u0301te\u0301s du Cameroun et de ses repre\u0301sentants qui mettent a\u0300 mal, dans ces dossiers et au sein de la CEMAC (Communaute\u0301 mone\u0301taire de l\u2019Afrique centrale), les relations entre les deux pays \u00bb a de\u0301nonce\u0301 le gouvernement tchadien.<\/p>\n

Le ministre camerounais des Affaires e\u0301trange\u0300res, Mbella Mbella Lejeune a indique\u0301 a\u0300 Anadolu que Yaounde\u0301 a pris acte de la de\u0301cision des autorite\u0301s tchadiennes.<\/p>\n

Depuis plus de 50 ans, le Tchad et le Cameroun entretiennent, sur le plan militaire, une coope\u0301ration aux re\u0301sultats probants. Par exemple dans le cadre de la lutte contre Boko Haram, depuis 2015, le Tchad appuie fortement le Cameroun.<\/p>\n

Les deux pays dont les relations diplomatiques remontent a\u0300 1960, partagent une frontie\u0300re commune d\u2019environ 1094 Km.<\/p>\n
