Africa-Press<\/a> – Tchad<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Tu\u00e9 alors qu\u2019il menait l\u2019offensive contre un groupe arm\u00e9 venu du sud libyen, le FACT, Idriss D\u00e9by Itno avait toujours su son pouvoir convoit\u00e9 et menac\u00e9 par des rebellions dont les bases arri\u00e8res se situaient bien souvent en Libye ou au Soudan.<\/p>\n

Arriv\u00e9 au pouvoir par la force \u00e0 la fin de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 1990, Idriss D\u00e9by Itno a, comme ses pr\u00e9d\u00e9cesseurs, \u00e9t\u00e9 tr\u00e8s t\u00f4t confront\u00e9 \u00e0 des rebellions. Il en fait l\u2019exp\u00e9rience d\u00e8s 1995, quand Mahamat Garfa, son ancien chef d\u2019\u00e9tat-major, a pris les armes contre lui avec l\u2019aide de son neveu, Mahamat Nour Abdelkerim.<\/p>\n

Finalement tu\u00e9 le 18 avril dans la r\u00e9gion du Kanem, Idriss D\u00e9by Itno a toujours su son pouvoir menac\u00e9 par des rebelles, le plus souvent h\u00e9berg\u00e9s voire soutenus par les pays voisins \u2013 Libye et Soudan en t\u00eate. La partie a parfois \u00e9t\u00e9 serr\u00e9e, comme en mai 2005, quand les troupes d\u2019Abdelkerim ont \u00e9t\u00e9 sur le point de prendre la capitale, ou comme en f\u00e9vrier 2008. Cette ann\u00e9e-l\u00e0, renfilant son treillis, D\u00e9by Itno avait choisi d\u2019aller \u00e0 la rencontre des colonnes de Mahamat Nouri \u00e0 Massaguet, \u00e0 80 km au nord-est de N\u2019Djamena. Contraint de se replier, il s\u2019en \u00e9tait fallu de peu que sa pr\u00e9sidence vacille.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9\u00e9lu \u00e0 six reprises, il n\u2019a jamais v\u00e9ritablement connu de r\u00e9pit et l\u2019effondrement de la Libye de Kadhafi, en 2011, n\u2019avait fait qu\u2019ajouter \u00e0 l\u2019instabilit\u00e9.
