Africa-Press – Tchad. <\/strong><\/span>Le projet d’interconnexion des re\u0301seaux e\u0301lectriques entre le Cameroun et le Tchad sera officiellement lance\u0301 ce 21 novembre 2023 a\u0300 Yaounde\u0301 par M. Gaston Eloundou Essomba, le ministre de l’Eau et de l’E\u0301nergie du Cameroun. Cette ce\u0301re\u0301monie a eu lieu en pre\u0301sence d\u2019une de\u0301le\u0301gation tchadienne re\u0301unie a\u0300 Yaounde\u0301 pour l’occasion.<\/p>\n

D\u2019apre\u0300s la Cameroon Radio and Television (CRTV), ce projet coutera 450 milliards FCFA.<\/p>\n

En 2021, le projet avait rec\u0327u un apport significatif avec l\u2019ouverture par la Banque mondiale (BM) d\u2019une ligne de cre\u0301dit de 305 millions de dollars, soit 178 milliards de FCFA pour sa re\u0301alisation. Il sera notamment question de construire 1319 kilome\u0300tres de lignes de transport ainsi que des e\u0301quipements connexes de haute tension, de moyenne tension et de basse tension afin d\u2019acheminer l\u2019e\u0301nergie du Cameroun vers le Tchad, ce qui permettra de couvrir 478 localite\u0301s en e\u0301lectricite\u0301.<\/p>\n

Selon la Banque mondiale, le financement de ce projet se situe dans son importance, non seulement du fait de son impact sur la vie des populations riveraines, mais e\u0301galement parce qu\u2019il s\u2019agit d\u2019un projet inte\u0301grateur de haute porte\u0301e devant apporter un coup d\u2019acce\u0301le\u0301rateur au de\u0301veloppement des pays de la Communaute\u0301 e\u0301conomique et mone\u0301taire de l\u2019Afrique centrale (CEMAC) en particulier et ceux de l\u2019Afrique de manie\u0300re ge\u0301ne\u0301rale.<\/p>\n
