E\u0301douard Wanssou, vice-pre\u0301sident de la Convention Africaine des Me\u0301dias, a souligne\u0301 l&rsquo;importance de cette distinction, mettant en lumie\u0300re les efforts des professionnels des me\u0301dias pour contribuer au de\u0301veloppement socio-e\u0301conomique et culturel de l&rsquo;Afrique.<\/p>\n<p>Instaure\u0301 en 2015 a\u0300 Dakar, au Se\u0301ne\u0301gal, le Prix du Me\u0301rite Panafricain vise a\u0300 valoriser les initiatives africaines dans leur que\u0302te d&rsquo;e\u0301mancipation. Cette anne\u0301e, la Convention a e\u0301largi ses cate\u0301gories de re\u0301compenses, y compris en reconnaissant les meilleurs came\u0301ramans et pre\u0301sentateurs de radio, afin de soutenir et d&rsquo;encourager davantage ceux qui \u0153uvrent dans ce domaine exigeant.<\/p>\n<p>Au total, 30 laure\u0301ats ont e\u0301te\u0301 honore\u0301s lors de cette ce\u0301re\u0301monie, avec 15 prix attribue\u0301s par le vote du grand public et 15 prix spe\u0301ciaux de\u0301cerne\u0301s par le comite\u0301 d&rsquo;organisation. Cette diversite\u0301 de cate\u0301gories refle\u0300te la richesse et la varie\u0301te\u0301 des contributions des professionnels des me\u0301dias a\u0300 travers le continent africain.<\/p>\n<p>E\u0301douard Wanssou a e\u0301galement souligne\u0301 les de\u0301fis auxquels sont confronte\u0301s les travailleurs des me\u0301dias, de la critique a\u0300 l&rsquo;e\u0301tiquetage injuste.
