Africa-Press – Togo. <\/strong><\/span>The Togolese football star and former Arsenal striker Emmanuel Sheyi Adebayor, who announced the end of his football career in March, wants to celebrate his retirement next year.<\/b><\/p>\n

Emmanuel Adebayor announced that he is currently preparing for his jubilee which will take place in June 2024 with \u201ca grandiose event which will take the form of a sports festival\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy professional career has come to an end. We have lived together moments of joy and intense emotions, in my respective clubs as well as with the selection of the Togolese National Team. At this moment when I am preparing to open a new page of my life, I would like to express my gratitude to everyone, from near or far\u201d, read a press release published on June 30, 2023.<\/p>\n

\u201cA great way to celebrate this moment would be to invite you all to the jubilee that the SEA foundation is organizing to mark the end. Join me in June 2024 for this grandiose event which will take the form of a sports festival for the promotion values of peace, stability and cohesion between the peoples of Africa. Several activities are on the program for this jubilee, culminating in a gala match which will bring together in Lome\u0301 the big names in the world of football.\u201d<\/p>\n

Born on February 26, 1984, Adebayor played for several major European clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, Tottenham and Real Madrid. The winner of the best African player in 2008 also played for Bas\u0327aks\u0327ehir as well as Kayseri Spor in Turkish Su\u0308per Lig.<\/p>\n
