Kigezi NRM Youth Endorse Hillary Twasiima for Chairperson

Africa-Press – Uganda. Delegates from the Kigezi Region gathered to attend the launch and consultative meeting for Hillary Twasiima as the National Youth Chairperson of the NRM League.

In his address’s,Twasiima highlighted that unemployment and lack of opportunities are major challenges affecting the youth. As someone working in the iron mining industry, he committed to lobbying for job creation in the industrial and factory sectors.

“I emphasize my dedication to advocating for the iron ore industry in Kigezi if elected.”Twasiima stated.

Twasiima expressed his intention to serve as a bridge, connecting young people to national and international opportunities.

I believe that having a youth voice in the Central Executive Committee of the National Resistance Movement will enable me to address youth concerns directly with top leadership.”Twasiima highlighted.

Twasiima further cited his proactive approach to employment, stating that even before taking office, he has initiated efforts to create job opportunities for the youth.

Trust Twesingomwe, the Vice Chairperson of the Youth League in Kabale District, urged the youth to vote for candidates who demonstrate service and accountability.

He emphasised the lack of accountability in previous leadership, which has hindered effective youth governance.

Ivan Niwagaba, the Chairperson of the Rubanda District Youth League, pledged support on behalf of Rubanda District.

“I promised to accompany Hillary as he campaigns nationwide to gather support.”Niwagaba said.

Jimmy Ngoma Kabahena, Head of Logistics and Finance for Team Hillary, assured delegates of the team’s capability to campaign effectively across the nation. He promised robust financial support for the campaign efforts.

Delegates from the Kigezi region expressed their commitment to supporting Hillary Twasiima emphasising the importance of collaboration to secure a win in the upcoming elections.
