Africa-Press – Uganda. Uganda Baati Limited, a member of the Safal Group and Uganda’s leading manufacturer of roofing and building solutions, has appointed Timothy Luzinda as its new Marketing Manager, effective August 2025.
Luzinda joins Uganda Baati with over 18 years of experience in marketing, brand management, and commercial leadership, largely built in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry.
He previously served as Head of Marketing at Crown Beverages Limited (CBL), the PepsiCo International franchise in Uganda, where he led high-impact campaigns, launched new products, and contributed significantly to market share gains across key beverage segments.
During his tenure at CBL from 2008 to 2023, Luzinda played a central role in launching successful products such as Mountain Dew, Sting Energy Drink, and Aquafina Water, as well as in repositioning Pepsi Cola in the Ugandan market.
He also spearheaded the returnable glass bottle initiative “Forever Connected” that generated shs21 billion in revenue and drove new consumer engagement strategies that delivered consistent brand growth.
Prior to joining Uganda Baati, Luzinda was engaged as a Sales and Marketing Consultant at Wavah Water Limited, where he led a business system audit, introduced indirect distribution channels, and supported the launch of a new affordable water brand.
Luzinda began his career in advertising with MCL McCann and ZK Advertising, managing campaigns for high-profile clients such as Celtel Uganda, Standard Chartered Bank, and Uganda Breweries Limited.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences from Makerere University and is a certified member of the Uganda Marketers Society (UMS 110).
At Uganda Baati, Luzinda is expected to strengthen the company’s marketing strategy, accelerate customer engagement, and deepen the brand’s market leadership in the roofing and building solutions sector.
Uganda Baati has been on a growth path, marked by robust route to market strategy, increased product diversification, and an emphasis on customer-centric innovation.
