Africa-Press – Uganda. SC Villa member Joseph Mbazzi has called for full disclosure of all compensation paid to the club by the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) for the partial takeover of Villa Park Training Ground.
In a letter dated December 8, 2025, Mbazzi, through his lawyers Kasiko Advocates, asked the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Transport to release all records relating to the compensation.
According to the letter, Mbazzi was “reliably informed that UNRA took over part of SC Villa Park Training Ground for the Kampala Flyover Project” and that the authority “went ahead to make compensations in several instalments to SC Villa.”
Kasiko Advocates noted that concerns have grown because the former executive committee, which took office on 13 November 2021, has never produced audited books of accounts.
“No audited books of accounts have ever been made or availed to members, including our client, in respect of the compensation received from UNRA and other related funds,” the letter states.
The lawyers added that Mbazzi has repeatedly requested details on the takeover and compensation process from the club’s current leaders, but “no official response has ever been made to him to date.”
They also accused the club leadership, whose term expired on 13 November 2025, of deliberately concealing material information and documents regarding the matter.
Mbazzi argued that, as a club member, he has the right to access information about how the club is managed.
The letter states this right “has been violated by club officials in an unlawful and illegal manner,” raising questions about why such information is being withheld.
Kasiko Advocates have now asked the Ministry to release a full set of documents, including the total compensation amount, number of instalments, bank accounts that received the funds, and any reports relating to the payments.
The request comes amid ongoing leadership tensions at SC Villa.
Last week, Mbazzi, through the same law firm, challenged the continued leadership of club president Hajj Omar Ahmed Mandela, noting that Mandela’s four-year term, which began on 13 November 2021, had “lapsed on 13 November 2025” and demanding he stop acting as president, refrain from representing the club, and hand over all official records, financial documents, inventories, contracts, and property.
SC Villa has not yet issued an official response to the latest demands.
