Africa-Press – Uganda. The Pornography Control Committee (PCC), operating under the Directorate of Ethics and Integrity, has been criticised for a lack of transparency after failing to produce its 2025 annual report.

Auditor General Edward Akol flagged the committee’s omission in the December 2025 audit report presented to Parliament.

“I noted that the Pornography Control Committee (PCC) did not produce an annual report to the minister on the performance of their functions within six months after the end of the financial year.

The Directorate failed to budget for the activities of the Committee,” Akol stated.

The PCC, established under the Anti-Pornography Act, 2014, is mandated to enforce laws regulating pornography in Uganda.

While it has undertaken various initiatives aimed at curbing pornography, the absence of a formal report raises questions about its operational accountability and overall effectiveness.
