Africa-Press – Uganda. The City is inundated with complaints of alleged corrupt conduct by individuals purporting to be City of Harare officials, demanding personal payments for the business licensing process.
There are also reports of unsanctioned enforcement exercises by some undesignated and unauthorised officers’ who are also allegedly demanding personal payments.
Some business clients have also been fleeced of their money by middlemen whom they give money and disappear thereafter. The business community is hereby advised to;
Council does not tolerate any corrupt practices by its employees, any such acts should be reported to the Director of Health Services on 0242-774141-3 for action.
