Caesar Kizito is one of the most popular players in the National Basketball League. The consistent calls for his inclusion across social media platforms was in December answered with the Sharing Youth swing-man finally earning a summon to the Silverbacks team preparing for the final Afrobasket qualification window.

Kizito, also known as “The Future” made the final list of players that traveled to Tunisia with many hoping to see his animated celebrations and his aggressive style when the Silverbacks get into action. The Sharing Youth wingman is excited at the prospect of finally representing the country and says he is not carried away by the support he has received domestically.

“Its an amazing feeling. A dream come true,” he said of his inclusion before talking up what he thinks he adds to the Silverbacks team needing one win to reach a third consecutive Afrobasket.

“I can score like I did in the National League. But I can at the same time defend. I don’t look at myself as a scorer..I bring defence to the table. I bring my communication ability to the team when I’m on the floor. I’m just excited and looking forward to playing a part,” explained Kizito who scored 391 points, the most in the league for the last regular season played in 2019.

“I’m not going to be hooked up in the criticism or the hype. I look at that as a bonus. My thing has always been work. I’m going to be caught in doing work and trying to get better every time I step on the floor,” Kizito added.

He will be one of three debutants on the team with UCU Canons point guard Fayed Baale joining him alongside US-based big man Arthur Kaluma.
