Russia's Deputy FM and Ugandan Defense Forces Chief Discuss Resolution of Africa's Hotspots Issues

Africa-Press – Uganda. Earlier in February, the minister of international affairs of Uganda, Haji Abubaker Jeje Odongo, pointed out that Russia was “upfront and willing to cooperate with various African countries” to facilitate their development.

The Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, met on Tuesday with the commander of the Ugandan People’s Defense Forces, Muhoozi Kainerugaba, during his working visit to Moscow.

During their exchange of views on international and regional issues, special attention was given to “conflicts in Africa’s hot spots,” the Russian Foreign Ministry stated.They also discussed the further development of Russian-Ugandan relations, including expanding trade and economic partnership as well as countering international terrorism.
