Africa-Press – Uganda. President Museveni has commended efforts by a section of musicians for composing songs that popularize various government programs.

In a speech read by the Bugiri Woman MP, Agnes Takka, Museveni said that the government has come up with various programs aimed at improving on household incomes but some people are not benefiting from them due to lack of information.

He said that the government is determined to transform people economically through various programs like PDM,Emyooga among others but some are still in poverty as they miss out on such programs due to lack of information to benefit.

He made the remarks at the launch of Museven Awooma mobilization campaign in Busoga region at Bukooli college SS in Bugiri district by a group of his supporters under ‘Museven Awooma’ who organized it in form of a music show.

Museveni also promised to construct more factories across the country to enable most of the un employed youth to get jobs whom he also advised to embrace technology to create jobs.

He asked farmers to embrace commercial agriculture where they can grow crops both for sale and domestic use than growing for domestic use only which leaves them in poverty.

The launch which attracted a large gathering including the political leaders and various artists who performed educative songs about various government programs and entertaining the crowd.

The group manager Ibrahim Musoga said that they came up with the initiative in form of music shows to sensitize the public about various government programs like PDM,Emyooga,youth funds among others to enable people enjoy the good leadership of president Museven.

Lead singer Emma Nsereko (Munamasaka) who composed Museveni Awooma song promised to take the initiative to various parts of the country.

The Bugiri LC5 chairperson,Robinson Mulumba used the platform to reveal that president has given them shs 81 billion for the rehabilitation of Bugiri hospital which is currently in bad shape.

At the event over 500 patients received free medication at a medical camp organised in partnership with Bugiri hospital as well attendees being treated to free food and drinks.
