Africa-Press – Uganda. The National resistance movement, NRMChairpersons in the West Nile region will receive bicycles for campaigns.
The chairpersons at parish and village level will receive the bicycles as a boost for campaigns in January 2021.
Joyce Amaguru, NRM vice chairperson Arua city said the bicycles are part of the pledge by the party chairperson, President Yoweri Museveni to motivate them to campaign for the party.
However, she warned the beneficiaries against using the bicycles to campaign for the opposition.
“These bicycles will be maintained and repaired by the beneficiary not the party,” said Amaguru
She said the distribution for Arua city will start on Sunday having received over 500 bicycles.
She added that the distribution exercise to all West Nile districts started on Saturday morning.
