Yet illness or accidents can quickly disrupt a farmer\u2019s financial stability, threatening everything they have worked for.<\/p>\n<p>Recognizing this, SunCulture partnered with Turaco to offer SunCulture Protect, an affordable, bundled health and life insurance product tailored specifically to smallholder farmers. The plan provides financial protection in times of medical emergencies or family crises.<\/p>\n<p>SunCulture Protect now covers multiple family members under a single policy and is accessible to both Pay-As-You-Grow and cash-paying customers.<\/p>\n<p>The plan includes HospiCash benefits of up to Shs 900,000 per month to support hospital stays, as well as a Last Expense benefit of up to Shs 1,500,000 to assist with funeral-related costs.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want every farmer to focus on what matters most: feeding the nation, building strong communities, and sustaining livelihoods, without the fear of being set back by unexpected medical costs,\u201d Eyal added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis insurance offering supports our broader goal of helping farmers thrive, both in the field and at home.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Enrollment is simple, requiring only a National ID, and can be completed through a SunCulture field agent or customer support.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSmallholder farmers play a central role in sustaining communities and protecting their households. This is vital for long-term resilience,\u201d said Cedrick Todwell, Group Director of Business Development at Turaco.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe expansion of SunCulture Protect reflects our shared commitment to making insurance simple, affordable, and accessible for farming families. We are proud to do this work with SunCulture because they understand farmers deeply and remain committed to solutions that genuinely improve livelihoods.
