He said that if such time were invested in reading books, it would greatly improve learning and critical thinking.

Referencing lessons from his book, Mayiga warned against the belief that prayer alone can eliminate poverty, emphasising the importance of combining hard work with purposeful action to achieve prosperity.

“We can only prosper when we sell goods/services. Prayer, without work, cannot deliver us from poverty,” he said.

He further stressed the need to develop a desire to create wealth through hard work and to move away from superstition, which he described as lacking logic and hindering progress.

The Coordinator of Naalya Book Club, Allan Odongo Okello, said that reading Work and Prosper alongside other works, as well as the guidance often shared by the Katikkiro, has significantly helped him to work harder and make progress in life.

Okello described the club as a group of passionate readers committed to learning, personal growth, and putting knowledge into practice.

For More News And Analysis About Uganda Follow Africa-Press

Africa-Press – Uganda.
