Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>Parents usually have concerns regarding the allegedly disastrous consequences of social networking sites on school performance which prompts them to stop their children from using social media.<\/p>\n

But Ekoyu Brennan alias Brennan Baby, a prominent Tiktoker and content creator, defied all odds and passed his O-Level exams. He scored Aggregate 19 at St Joseph\u2019s Senior Secondary School Naggalama, Mukono.<\/p>\n

Ekoyu, whose worst subjects were Maths and computer science, where he scored credit 4, says he had no worry that he would at any time lose focus since he felt challenged by fame and his parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe moment I became famous on social media, I had to double my efforts to prove doubters wrong and to encourage young people that you can still make it alongside other hustles,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He said his followers and general public piled pressure on him to focus on his studies.<\/p>\n

\u201cPeople would watch my content and thereafter leave comments like how we wish you use the same knowledge in class,\u201d he recalled.<\/p>\n

Ekoyu said the desire to join King\u2019s College Budo for A-Level also made him work extra hard to pass the final examinations.<\/p>\n

He hopes he has done enough to join the elite school, where he wants to pursue a combination of either Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics or History, Economics, Geography, and Sub mathematics.<\/p>\n

The youngster vows to continue juggling both education and content creation. He wants to become a surgeon.<\/p>\n

But the award-winning star, who is followed by more than 329,000 people and has 62 million views on TikTok, attributed his good performance to his parents.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy parents did not pressure me but they supported me and always told me never to shame their efforts with bad results,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
