Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) officers attached to the second deputy Prime Minister, Gen Moses Ali and the Military Police on Wednesday evacuated the remains of fallen former army officer, Lt Col Abdallah Nasur, from one of his homes located at Bombo- mile 21 in Bombo town over a family disagreement shortly after the body had been delivered at the home.<\/p>\n

While the disagreement between a section of the family is not yet known, one of the members, Ms Zenar Nassur revealed that conflicts in their home was not entirely a new thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cMzei Nasur has been battling disagreements stemming from some of the family members that wanted him to distribute his property before he dies. You can imagine children that are selfish and demand property from their father before he dies. They again want the body of our father not to be taken to his known home at Nakatonya village before burial,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Family sources revealed that Lt Col Nasur breathed his last at Kampala International Hospital at around 11pm on Tuesday after battling diabetes and heart related complications.<\/p>\n

Military police have evacuated the body of former Central Province governor, Abdallah Nasur, from one of his homes in Bombo following a scuffle among family members.<\/p>\n

Nasur, a retired military officer who served in ex-president Idi Amin’s regime died last evening<\/p>\n

Nasur who died at the age of 81 is a former military officer who served in the forces between 1964 and 1979 when he was exiled to Kenya and arrested the same year at Kakamega refugee camp. He was deported to Uganda and charged with murder of former Masaka Mayor Francis Walugembe.<\/p>\n

Nasur was pardoned by President Museveni in 2001 and has been living a quiet life as a businessman but a strong mobiliser and supporter of President Museveni and the NRM government.<\/p>\n
