There was barely time to draw a breath as goals kept flying in around the grounds in a thrilling weekend of Uganda Premier League action.<\/p>\n

On Friday, Vipers beat Police 3-2 in Kitende to leapfrog their opponents \u2013 with some help from controversial decisions by the men in black \u2013 before Bright Stars made light work of UPDF with 3-0 win and Onduparaka beat Kyetume 3-1.<\/p>\n

The goal-fest on match day eight continued on Saturday. Wasswa Bbosa\u2019s Express put Bul to the sword in a 4-0 one sided affair while Mike Mutebi\u2019s KCCA came to life at the MTN Philip Omondi Stadium with a 5-0 humbling of Myda.<\/p>\n

The eight matches produced 26 goals, the two 0-0 draws aside. Braces by Bright Anukani and man of the match Charles Lwanga and a rare strike from Moses Aliro halted KCCA miserable run of form since restart.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a marathon. Everybody is in the race; we have to work on our own,\u201d an upbeat Mutebi said.<\/p>\n

Now seventh with 13 points, KCCA can close on the top three if they overcome Wakiso Giants tomorrow.Red mistAt Kyabazinga Stadium in Bugembe where KCCA and Villa failed to win, Express waltzed past Bul with ease.<\/p>\n

By the 10th minute, defender Murushid Juuko was heading in a Godfrey Lwesibawa corner past Bul goalkeeper Abdul Kimera. Left back Arthur Kiggundu extended the lead before strikes from George Senkaaba and Ibrahim Kayiwa completed the rout on 76 minutes.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe put emphasis on finishing the chances we create,\u201d Express assistant coach James Odoch said.<\/p>\n

The Red Eagles are tied in third place on 16 points with Police ahead of their date with Myda tomorrow.Jogoo fighting spiritRecord league champions SC Villa hard to dig deep to get over a stubborn Kitara at Bombo Barracks.
