He allegedly found his wife having sexual intercourse with another man.<\/p>\n<p>This resulted into a fight between the couple after the woman\u2019s lover escaped through the opposite door.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOut of annoyance, the husband grabbed a nearby stick and started assaulting his wife from the bed. Unfortunately the stick hit the innocent child who was sleeping on the same bed killing her instantly. The suspect escaped that very night and handed himself in at Kanungu Police Station and that&#8217;s when investigations commenced,\u201d Mr Elly Maate, the Kigezi region police spokesperson, said on Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The deceased toddler has been identified as Fortunate Akansasira.<\/p>\n<p>He said that a case of murder as a result of assault has been registered at Kanungu Police Station under CRB 526\/2023 and the body of the deceased was taken to Mpungu Health Center IV for postmortem.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/uganda\">Uganda<\/a> Follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Uganda.
