Africa-Press<\/a> – Uganda<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Two passengers have narrowly survived death after the Isuzu pickup truck they were traveling in overturned on Jinja Road near the Ministry of Internal Affairs offices.<\/b><\/p>\n

According to the traffic officer on duty identified only as Ayera, the brakes of the truck gave way and the driver couldn’t maneuver after that.<\/p>\n

“The brakes failed leading to the truck overturning,” Ayera said.<\/p>\n

The driver escaped unhurt and fled the scene of the accident. The truck which was from Mukono district and was loaded with matooke suffered a shattered windscreen.<\/p>\n

Hajat Jalia Sekidde, a businesswoman, and the turn boy are nursing injuries.<\/p>\n

Sympathisers came to Sekidde’s aid and helped to offload the matooke.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
