Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>Kabale University coach Farouk Nsubuga knows there is only one way back into contention for a berth at the coveted knockout stage of this year\u2019s Pepsi University Football League (PUFL).<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately it\u2019s down to results and that\u2019s what we and the fans want,\u201d said coach Nsubuga, whose third-placed team in Group A with three points after three matches hosts unbeaten log leaders Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) today in South Western Uganda.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be going out on Tuesday to put up a fight and do whatever it takes to get the three points from the game. It will be tough but we\u2019ll be prepared and we\u2019ll all be ready to fight for a result,\u201d Nsubuga added.<\/p>\n

Kabale have been guilty in the two losses they have suffered so far for dictating the pace and dominating most of the matches only for them to crumble at the very end.<\/p>\n

Fruitless possession<\/b><\/p>\n

Against UMU, who rule the group roost with a perfect haul of nine points with eight goals scored against the two they\u2019ve conceded, Kabale must turn possession and dominance into goals all else they will be at the wrong end of the result and forthwith leave their partisan fans teary.<\/p>\n

For UMU, victory on Tuesday will seal their spot in the knockout stage with return leg matches against Bugema and Unik to play.<\/p>\n

“We are not taking anything for granted,” Uganda Martyrs coach Kisuuze Eric said prior to the game. \u201cWe’re not going to sit back, we’re not playing for a draw. We’re playing for a win and I think that’s the mentality you need.”<\/p>\n

And having comfortably beaten Kabale 3-0 at Nkozi in the first leg, Kisuze will be confident that his Saints can get the same result away.<\/p>\n

The organisers have lined up one match on each day of the week.<\/p>\n
