Africa-Press – Uganda. <\/strong><\/span>In a commendable recognition of leadership and governance, John Musinguzi Rujoki, the Commissioner General of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), has been awarded the prestigious title of the most outstanding leader of the year of a government agency by the League of East African Directors.<\/b><\/p>\n

The league, which is dedicated to promoting good leadership and accountable governance, also honored Juma Kasami, the Chairman of URA\u2019s Board of Directors, with the most outstanding non-executive director award.<\/p>\n

Expressing his gratitude, Musinguzi Rujoki emphasized the significance of these awards in reflecting the positive working relationship between URA and its stakeholders.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs a tax body, we look beyond these accolades, understanding that they underscore the strength of our collaboration with stakeholders,\u201d remarked Rujoki during the award ceremony.<\/p>\n

Juma Kasami, recognized as the most outstanding non-executive director, echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the need for continuous effort to achieve even better results.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis award is not just a recognition of past achievements but a call to work harder ahead for improved outcomes,\u201d asserted Kasami, Chairman of URA\u2019s Board of Directors.<\/p>\n

Prior to this accolade, URA had already received acknowledgment as the most outstanding government agency of the year by the Kampala City Traders Association.<\/p>\n

These accolades collectively underscore the organization\u2019s commitment to excellence and its pivotal role in fostering economic growth within the region.<\/p>\n

The League of East African Directors, through its Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Jimmy Serugo, commended both Musinguzi Rujoki and Juma Kasami for their exemplary leadership roles, further reinforcing the importance of clean, accountable governance in the public sector.<\/p>\n
